Includes DMC floss*, tapestry needles, a needle threader, mini scissors, a seam ripper, and a Snag Nab-It.

Upgrade My Life Kit
Includes everything from the Just the Basics Kit, upgraded with Silk & Ivory thread, plus stretcher bars and tacks.

If this is your first needlepoint project and you’re feeling unsure, I’ve got you. I recommend starting with the “For Beginners” page on the Penny Linn website for a solid foundation.

I’ll also be hosting a FREE needlepoint workshop on Instagram Live, where I’ll stitch parts of this canvas in real time and teach everything you need to know, including floss stranding (for DMC), basic tent stitches, and compensation. I’ll answer questions live, and the replay will be saved for anyone who can’t attend. Date and time TBD.

A couple notes:
DMC floss requires “stranding” before stitching. It’s a bit more work upfront, but creates a superior finish and is the most affordable and easiest thread to find as it’s widely available at most craft stores.
If you choose a kitted canvas, it will be kitted with black thread by default, but you’re welcome to color swap and make it your own.
